December 2021 Mission

Updated: Jul 28

This past December, our chairman went to DR Congo to distribute aid. We provided three weeks of provisions to over 120 families in Lutendele and N'sele, in the remote outskirts of Kinshasa. Most of these families have been out of work for many months due to COVID restrictions.

We also provided for several medical expenses. A young woman and her child, who was born with spina bifida, needed financial support to survive and to stay at the hospital and receive surgery. Meanwhile, another young woman had a ruptured appendix and several infections throughout her body.

We also celebrated Christmas with over 260 children (sixty of which are orphans) by providing food and beverages, clothing and toys. For most of them, this was the first real Christmas, something we take for granted in the United States.

In addition to the Christmas gifts, the 60 orphans received two months of provisions, including food, clothing, and toiletries. We also purchased 10 bunk beds and 20 mattresses for the children, who were sleeping on old, dirty mattresses. We were also able to provide them with 50 plastic chairs for gatherings.

We also supported local farmers by purchasing arable land. They had already produced a crop on the land we had already procured, providing a much-needed ongoing food supply.

Finally, we constructed another clean water system in a poor community in north east N'sele.
