Food
Child malnutrition is the underlying cause of up to 45 percent of death under the age of five. This is a major challenge in the DRC where 6 million children currently suffer from malnutrition, according to the World Bank.
How We Help
While large organizations are working through various avenues to alleviate malnutrition in DR Congo, it remains a huge unsolved problem. The need is especially great among the remote regions, where lives hang in the balance. There are also institutions like orphanages and elderly care facilities that lack adequate provisions. We have a team of native Congolese volunteers who are able to identify where assistance is most needed, allowing us to reach places that might otherwise be overlooked.
