Donate Time
Whether you have a lot of time, or a just a few seconds; whether you have highly specialized skills, or just a big heart, you can help the people of DR Congo.
"I have little spare time, and no special skills. How can I help?"
Making people aware of a problem is extremely important. If you cannot donate items or money, you may know someone who can. You can help a great deal simply by sharing information about DR Congoaid with your friends and family, or by sharing our site on social media. Charitable organizations often spend a significant amount of money just to make people aware of a problem and attract donations. We want to spend as much of the donations we receive as possible on actually providing assistance to the people of DR Congo, not on marketing, and every time you share our story with someone, you are reducing our expenses!
"I have some spare time, but no special skills. How can I help?"
A large source of funds and talent for charities like ours is organizations like schools, churches, businesses and charitable foundations. One school provided enough funds to build an entire clean water system and several bathrooms for a school we help in DR Congo. If you have some extra time, you could contact your employer, your child's school, or your church to see if they would be willing to raise in-kind donations, funds, or more volunteers. Your efforts could make a big impact!
"I have some spare time, and special skills. How can I help?"
The people we assist in DR Congo desperately need things like healthcare, shelter, education, and vocational training. Maybe you are a physician who can travel to DR Congo to provide free consultations. Or perhaps you are a general contractor who can help build sanitary facilities and shelter. You may even be a farmer who can teach people how to grow food for themselves. These things can be worth far more than a single financial donation.
If you are a doctor, a farmer, a construction worker, a teacher, a graphic designer or a marketing professional and want to make a difference, please contact us!
